We had to get away for a mini-vacation. Our first choice was to go back to the beaches of Mexico, but with our house being on the final stretch we did not want to leave the country. Oh, but how I wish I was lying in the sun and being waited on not having to lift a finger. So for now, I'll just be jealous of my mother who is. Just kidding, I love you mom. Get lots of sun for me. Not wanting to go too far but enough to get to relax we chose Branson. Dennis was not too thrilled until we got there and he realized this trip was all about Mason. We left early Monday morning and stopped along the way at a rest stop which had a playset with "big slides". The energy Mason has. We did lots of swimming. One hotel we stayed at, had a indoor waterpark. He could not get enough of it. We also spent an afternoon at Silver Dollar City where he got to ride the Christmas train and several other rides. We went through a dinosaur museum that was not all that great. And of course, I did a little Christmas shopping and found some great.... deals! I had a good time with my boys. Mason can't quit talking about the "fun water".
We got home this afternoon and finally, finally the house is painted. All we need is some carpet, a few corrections, and we are set to move in. The stress with the house is almost over. I probably will never build again!!!
